My frontier hero and my weekend

Ree Drummond. You are my hero. You seriously have made my dinner meals a cinch.
Last nights supper was so simple, yet ohhh so good!!!!

If you have not visited this woman's blog and you like good ol' southern cookin', please...
by all means be my guest and head on over there! She also has pastas and salads too. She likes to call those "cowgirl food" and all the meats "cowboy food". The Mister and I like the Cowboy side of things. ;)

Here's her link:

This is what we had last night for dinner.

We also made Garlic Toast.
Having nights like this just brings me back home. To Texas.
That's why I love her. BBQ chicken, Pulled pork sandwiches, steak, chicken fry, you name it...
she's got a recipe for it!

So if you don't know what to cook one night and your in the mood for something amazing, check out her bloggy blog!

I also wanted to take the time to post a few pictures of my fabulous weekend this past week with my real life friend (and blog friend) Brittney, my hubby, and our pup Ajax.
We went to Taste Unlimited, a little sandwich a gift shop right down by the beach we had never been to, then took Ajax to play and have fun on the beach.

Ajax and the Mister eating outside of Taste.

  Playing in the water.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Brittney's birthday is this weekend so we are going to celebrate by watching "Water for Elephants" and have a few drinks.
