An Update!

It has been such a long time since I wrote! 

The Mister got back from his surge about a week and a half ago, so we've just been spending every moment together cherishing it!
On Saturday we went to see The Hangover 2 with Brittney! Funny movie! I don't think I liked it quite as much as I did Bridesmaids though. If you haven't seen Bridesmaids, please take the time to go! It's hilarious!

Yesterday was Memorial Day and we had family pictures taken by the lovely Jessica Quinonez Photography.

She is seriously SO Sweet and patient. 

The Mister and I had a great time! I'll post pictures once she finishes them!

On an even more exciting note... I will be vacationing in Florida next month with my lovely family.

I haven't seen them since Christmas and I am super excited! 

Can't wait to snorkel, golf, and just spend some quality time on the beach with them!

I finally got off my migraine medicine since we are still trying for a baby.

I've had lots of headaches, but I'm coping... I cannot be on Topamax while planning.

Praying for everything to go smoothly if we do conceive. 

Having had a miscarriage, that's always in the back of my mind. :(

The Mister leaves again soon for training so I'm gonna try to save up so we can enjoy our Florida vacation together.

Retro Glam!

Yesterday Brittney and I went shopping... Again!

We actually had an agenda though. 

I was trying to find a cute pin-up style outfit to wear for my Vroom Pin Up shoot next week. 

I will be having photos taken with various classic and muscle cars. 

I thought pin-up/retro glam would be perfect for this occasion!

It is nearly impossible to find anything cute nowadays that ties into that era and style, unless you're ordering online and are willing to shell out some hefty change!

I wanted to try and thrift shop for something vintage, but I just don't even know where to start!

Luckily I found a very cute dress at my favorite store: Forever 21.

It is a halter dress with a sweetheart neckline.

I love the polka dots and the three button detail. 

So modern day pin-up in my opinion!

It looks stellar on and I'm so excited to get to wear it for my shoot!

I have some red Mary Jane pumps that are going to look so cute with it. 

I'm gonna try and look for a red flower for my hair today as well.

Bridesmaids was amazing yesterday Ya'll!!!! 

You need to go see it. It's like the female version of the Hangover.

1. I love to play video games with my husband. It's pretty much all we do unless Glee is on!

2. I only own two pairs of heels. I'm already 5'9'' and it's just embarrassing to look like an amazon woman all the time.

3. I'm a big pushover. I never can say no to anyone or stick up for myself.
Hopefully that will change as I get older and won't want to take anyone's crap.

 4. I'm a daddy's girl. Not to the extent of anything I want I get, but I just enjoy his presence.
Playing golf with him on his days off was the highlight of my high school years.

5. I can't cook anything but fried food very well.
I'm from Texas, where everything comes battered and fried.

6. I'm addicted to Facebook. There, I said it!
When you have access to it 24/7 on your mobile device, it's hard not to check it every couple of hours.
That's normal right?!?

7. I don't have many friends I trust, but the ones I do have will last a lifetime. Quality vs. Quantity.

I'm going to see Bridesmaids today, which I am super excited about!

Not too much longer til my Mister is back either.
Hanging out with friends sure has made this time go by faster.
We've had no communication at all this whole time, so it's been a little rough not knowing whether or not he's safe.
It sure has made me realize how much I truly love that man.

Where is it?

Has anyone else had this happen to them? I wrote a post on Wednesday I think it was, and when I came to my dashboard to start a new post for today it was gone! I linked it to my Facebook the night I posted it, so I went back today and clicked on the link and it says it doesn't exist! Where in the world could it have gone?

Shopping, shopping, more shopping, and a night of pampering!

I don't know if this is because both of our husband's are gone right now, but Brittney and I have an addiction.

To shopping! We shop every weekend it seems like! 

It's not crazy shopping sprees, but something little each time.

Brittney and I usually hang out on her days off and she'll stay the night, so Saturday she stayed over and we got up extra early Sunday to get the new Silver Shatter and the Pirates of the Carribean, both by O.P.I nail color.

I'm in LOVE with all my nail polishes I got!
My favorite is Sparrow Me the Drama, which is the pink color.


Yesterday , Brittany, Brittney and I went to Evening Under the Stars.
It's a night where spouses of military personnel can get together and get pampered.
Brittney and I finally got to meet Brittany after what seemed like forever!
A blogger friend turned into a real life friend!
It was so fun! We did a wine tasting which was amazing! Loved the Moscato they had of course!
There was also a massage room but we didn't get to that in time.
We got a HUGE bag of goodies from all the vendors giving us free samples and brochures!
The NEX provided this bag for us so that we could carry all our great stuff we got!




My favorite booth was the Military Ministry.
They provided all these inspirational books and even camouflage bibles!
I can't wait until my Mister gets home so I can show him his books and bible!
I've already started The Power of a Praying Wife and I love it!




It was a great night to just get together and relax with people you know experience the same things you go through.
I also met a couple of other Navy wives who I am Facebook friends with.

All Dressed Up! A weekend with Brittney!

It's Wednesday and time for All Dressed Up!

I feel like I'm re-living my days as a little girl playing with all the beautiful clothes!

This past weekend Brittney and I had a full on girls weekend! 

I already posted about it, but I didn't show you what outfits I wore!

This was the outfit I wore out to dinner on Saturday at Guadalajara.

Told you I had a thing for floral!!!

I know I already showed you a picture of my new sandals in a previous post, but they are too darn cute, I just have to show you a closer look!

Clay! My new craft.

I'm kind of obessed with the stuff right now. 

I stumbled upon a nail tutorial blog and the lady had little polymer clay fruit on her nail designs!

As soon as I saw them I thought I had to have them. I've seen them on Etsy numerous times. 

These are just a few pictures of the VERY FIRST two I've done, so they're not nearly as good as I'm hoping to get.

I want to make nautical pieces, food, figurines, and a lot more stuff!

Since the Mister is off doing his thing, I have a lot of time to make plenty.

The first one I tried was a simple pink pig. 

His ears are my favorite thing. You can't really see the detail from the picture, but they're really floppy!

Second thing I made was a Hello Kitty pendant for my friend. She LOVES all things Hello Kitty and it was her birthday recently, so this is going to be a late birthday gift!

It's waayyy past my bedtime, but I really want to stay up and make more!

I guess that's how you know you love doing something huh? 

I think I found my new hobby.

Last nights news

You were probably either interrupted with a speech during The Apprentice, on Facebook, or in your bed sleeping... but Osama bin Laden is no more. 

All of America is rejoicing at that fact right now and I am, at this very moment, very happy to be married to someone that serves this country willingly. 

My heart swells with pride in the fact that I am a U.S Navy wife and an Army sister!

I'm not going to go into politics or things of the like, because the only thing I care about right now is the fact that justice is served to the families of those affected by 9/11, and that for one night  ALL Americans seemed to be proud of where they come from.

Thank you for everyone who has served in the past and those currently serving now, here or overseas. 

We appreciate all you do for this great Nation.

Much needed girl time!

This weekend has been amazing! 

I couldn't imagine a better way to get my mind off my husband leaving.

The Mister left for his underway last week and because we have no international cell phone plan, I have yet to receive emails or phone calls. 

I'm sure he's fine, I just really hope when he gets a chance he finds a phone to call me on.

If it wasn't for Brittney getting me out of this house I probably would have gone stir crazy!

Friday night I went over to her house and we had some yummy Papa John's and just read blogs and talked!

Saturday night we had planned on going to dinner and then the mall, but we stayed at the Mexican restaurant we were at for over 3 hours and the mall had already closed!!!

The manager had sent Brittney and I free drinks to our table. (:

Must have been because our new outfits were just so cute! tehehe.

He sent 2 shots and 2 margaritas... on top of the margaritas we already had! 

We were feeling pretty good by the time we left! 

 

The manager asked us if we were going to stay because the restaurant has a DJ and dancing after 10, but that would mean we would have been there for over 4 hours so we decided to leave!

We came home and Brittney stayed the night, then we got up this morning and ran some errands and got our shop on!

I also am obsessed with these new sandals I got! Eeeekkk!!!!

I've been painting my nails ALL the time now! 

I have the new black shatter which I'm officially obsessed with!

I swear hanging out with Brittney has brought out my inner girl. 

I will embrace it! Lol.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. 

The only thing that would make mine better would be to get a phone call from my love letting me know he's made it to his destination safe and sound. (:
